Plan9 is the project of the Punjab Information Technology Board launched in August 2012.
The Plan9 program provides entrepreneurs with the opportunity to chase their business dreams by using the technology. Plan9 is the Pakistan largest Technology Incubator that has incubated more than 118 startups.
In these four years Plan9 has successfully strengthen its roots to help startups in entrepreneurship and technology innovation. They are doing great efforts to bring startup eco-system in Pakistan and provide a great opportunity for startups to successfully start their journey.
They have taken initiatives such as demo day, fellowship, network partnership and whizkids. The demo day allows startups to launch their official products in front of general public, academia, investors and industry experts from across the world. The demo day provides golden opportunity for many startups to introduce their product with thousands of people.
The fellowship program allows university students to introduce them with latest technology and enhance their learning experience. Network Partnership allows universities to establish a complete professional environment for startups within their campuses by engaging with incubators and entrepreneurs. The whizkids conducts series of mentorship classes and workshops for students from grade 7 to 12.
The Plan9 Incubation program is taking an initiate to enhance business culture in Pakistan. In incubation process young startups gives an opportunity to engage in mentorship sessions, workshops, training and other sessions. Startups are also provided with free office setup for with internet connectivity, conference rooms and electricity at the best building. They are also provided with different facilities such as networking opportunity, monthly stipend, mentorship, support services and support services.
