Will Yahoo become Altaba ?

The company said that if all goes well with Verizon deal then it would rename itself as Altaba.

Yahoo is a well-known name in internet world. Different sources have revealed a sizzling news about Yahoo that soon it will become Altaba. Verizon is going to officially purchase Yahoo for $4.8 billion. Marissa Mayer who is the seventh and last CEO of Yahoo will leave upon deal success. The directors who will remain even after the deal signing are Jeffrey Smith, Tor Braham and Catherine J. Friedman, Eric Brandt and Thomas McInerney. Mr. Webb would become the chairman of Altaba.

Yahoo Inc is an American Technology company that was founded by two people Jerry Yang and David Filo in January 1994. Soon after its foundation Yahoo got a reasonable place as a media and news website. According to Pew Research Yahoo is ranked as the sixth most visited website in the world. Yahoo operated for more than 20 years and now it is going to become Altaba.

Yahoo also had data breach issue in past that affected more than 1 million people. Verizon is spreading its roots across the globe as a mobile, home and business internet provider. They are also connected with ads selling business so buying Yahoo will give them an edge. They will not only get a chance to improve their place in internet advertising business but also have a huge amount of Yahoo users data. The data will be used to get audience for marketing ads in future.
