NOW Money won the ArabNet’s Startup Battle held in Dubai on April 23^rd 2017.

The three startups that were selected as a winner in ArabNet’s Startup Battle are NOW Money, Friendly Car and Weenak.  The winner teams have now got a chance to attend ArabNet’s Digital Summit in Dubai where they will compete with other Startup Battle Winners in a Startup Championship. The winner team will receive a prize of $20,000 cash along with scholarship for Blackbox Connect program that will conduct in Silicon Valley.

There was a tough competition between 10 startups of different countries. The 10 finalist startups that were selected include NOW Money – Mobile Banking for Low-Income Workers, Smart Labour – Smart Technology for Blue-Collar Workers, SawaTruck  – Finding Bid-Based Deals for Shipping Goods, Jugaad – The On-Demand Services Aggregator, Play.My.Way – Interrupting Games with Educative Activities, MaktApp – SAAS for Business Management, FriendlyCar – The Car Rental Platform for Car Owners, Snash – Real Consumer Data for FMCG Brands, Dufoat  – Giving UAE Restaurants an Online Presence and Wenaak – Giving Every Geographical Spot an Address.

NOW Money

NOW Money by entrepreneur Katherine Budd is targeted to low income workers that are not considered in the GCC’s financial system. It facilitates users to buy mobile phone credit cards, pay utility bills, exchange programs and also works as a card to access POS and ATM withdrawals.
